Delegation of Vietnamese Oncology Experts Visits Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital to Launch a New Chapter in WATA Precision Ablation International Exchange

Today, a delegation of experts in hepatobiliary and oncology fields from Vietnam visited Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital. As the WATA Global Precision Ablation Training Base, Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital welcomed this significant international academic exchange. Both sides engaged in in-depth dialogues on the development of minimally invasive tumor ablation technology, the management of complex clinical cases, and international medical cooperation, building a brand-new bridge for oncology medical exchange between China and Vietnam.

The visiting delegation gathered academic leaders from top medical institutions in Vietnam, including the Vietnam Hepatobiliary Association, National Cancer Hospital of Vietnam (K Hospital), 108 Central Military Hospital, and Bach Mai Hospital. Their expertise covers core oncology disciplines such as hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, urological tumors, gynecological and breast cancers, interventional radiology, and radiation therapy. The core objective of the delegation's visit was to conduct on-site learning of the international frontier precision tumor ablation system and draw upon Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital's clinical practice experience in high-difficulty minimally invasive cancer treatments—such as Nanoknife (IRE), cryoablation, and radioactive seed implantation—thereby promoting the adoption and popularization of advanced oncology diagnosis and treatment technologies in Vietnam.

Upon the delegation's arrival, the management team and core clinical expert team of Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital extended a warm welcome to the Vietnamese experts. During the internal exchange session, both parties presented the current state of oncology discipline development within their respective healthcare systems. Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital fully showcased its achievements in discipline construction and its position as the WATA Global Precision Ablation Training Base, initiating an intellectual exchange focused on comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic concepts for complex multi-organ tumors. The Vietnamese experts gained a detailed understanding of the base's technical training, clinical research, and international collaboration models, expressing high appreciation for the extensive clinical experience accumulated by Uni-Asia Cancer Hospital in treating complex and refractory tumors.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the core clinical areas of the hospital for an on-site inspection, observing the operational model up close and experiencing the full diagnostic and therapeutic workflow of minimally invasive ablation technology—from preoperative evaluation and treatment planning to clinical execution. Experts from both sides exchanged views while touring, focusing on common challenges encountered in clinical practice, laying a solid foundation for deeper technical discussions in the future.

Both parties reached a preliminary consensus on potential cooperation, including mutual visits by experts, case discussions, and technical training. This first day of exchange was not only a cross-border medical visit, but also a convergence of ideas in the field of minimally invasive oncology between China and Vietnam. It establishes a strong foundation for subsequent surgical observations and special academic seminars, aiding the cross-border dissemination of high-quality oncology treatment technology to benefit cancer patients in both countries.
