Snow-Covered Plateau, Walking Together on the Medical Journey | The First Medical Team from Zigong High-tech Cancer Hospital Sets Off for Tibet Today

Crossing mountains and seas to reach the snow-covered plateau, walking together on the medical journey to safeguard health. In order to deepen medical technology cooperation and exchanges between the two regions and support the high-quality development of healthcare, our hospital has selected more than 20 experienced medical professionals to form the first medical team, which departed today for Tibet to carry out medical assistance work.

Before departure, Party Branch Secretary Lin Xingmei encouraged the medical team members, especially the backbone Party members: “This mission to Tibet is challenging, yet honorable. You must always remember the mission of being medical professionals and the responsibilities of Party members, fully demonstrating your exemplary and leading role. The plateau environment is unique—it is both a challenge for us and a new journey for the team.”

All team members stood ready, keeping in mind their medical mission and organizational expectations, carrying sincere care and dedication for the people in Tibetan areas. They expressed that they would adapt to the plateau environment as soon as possible, integrate into the local healthcare system, work hand in hand with local medical colleagues, learn from each other’s strengths, actively share clinical diagnosis and treatment experience, and devote themselves to their work with a humble learning attitude and a rigorous, practical approach, using compassion and medical expertise to protect the health of people on the plateau.

Ms. Zhu Yonghong, Chairwoman of the Board, personally went to Tianfu International Airport to see the team off and handed the team flag to the leader. Upon the team’s arrival in Tibet, Mr. Wang Bin, Chairman of Fukang Medical Group, personally came to the airport to welcome them. The pure white khata scarves and sincere greetings allowed every team member to immediately feel the warmth of home on the plateau. From reception arrangements to logistical support, Fukang provided thoughtful services and meticulous arrangements, filling everyone’s hearts with warmth. Through this collaboration, the two hospitals will build a bridge of cooperation, exchange advanced interventional diagnosis and treatment technologies, and help reduce the difficulties faced by plateau residents seeking medical care far from home.
